OCR

Learning Assistant is delighted to announce that we are now publicly supported by another of the UK's leading awarding bodies, OCR.

OCR's commitment of public support for the Learning Assistant software comes after a rigorous evaluation process, whereby a specialist team of OCR verifiers tested Learning Assistant's suitability for OCR centres and learners.

OCR's range of National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) are ideal for delivery through Learning Assistant. It gives candidates the opportunity and flexibility to store electronic evidence types as well as standard text files. Learning Assistant is an e-portfolio product that successfully meets OCR's requirements. It's easy to use and suitable for OCR's NVQs in all subject areas.

The Learning Assistant system secures the endorsement of Awards UK.

Awards UK provide corporate customers a route to SQA and Edexcel qualifications for companies who require both SVQs and NVQs. They are a wholly owned subsidiary of London Qualifications (trading as Edexcel) and the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA), two of the largest and best known awarding bodies in the UK.

Today an increasing number of employers are stressing the need to ensure that the time their staff spend being assessed is kept to a minimum. Therefore, it is extremely important that centres carry out assessments as efficiently as possible. Online assessment is an obvious way of improving the efficiency of assessment. Learning Assistant supports online assessment in a way that is simple to understand and very easy to use.
