Why use e-portfolios?
Learner and employer evaluation showed that participants felt considerable benefits from the management development programmes, but did not like the bulky paper portfolios, or the inevitable delay in getting feedback on presented work. This was primarily due to the need to move these portfolios physically for assessment. We thought e-portfolios could be the way to go.

As learners complete coursework, they upload it onto Learning Assistant for review by their assessor. The work is assessed remotely, and learners can continue to progress through the course. This has accelerated delivery time, reduced the time assessors spend travelling, and removed entirely the need for bulky folders full of coursework.
